Vision
The mission of Fırat University Climate Change, Environment and Green Development Implementation and Research Center is listed below.
- To conduct research and studies on climate change, environment and green development in Turkey and abroad with a theoretical and practical multidisciplinary approach.
- To participate in activities on climate change, environment and green development in Turkey and abroad, to organize activities and events within the University.
- To determine the problems related to climate change, environmental problems and green development by adopting a multidisciplinary approach in all theoretical and practical activities of the Center, to carry out joint project studies with relevant institutions and organizations in order to develop solution proposals for the determined problems.
- To contribute to the creation of awareness in the society about the green development process defined as the environmentally friendly development process formed based on the sustainable development approach, to organize workshops, conferences and awareness-raising meetings on the subject, including local actors, and to include all local actors with an integrative approach while organizing activities.
- To establish thematic area committees within the Center on climate change, environment and green development, and to contribute to the creation of an information network on a national, regional and local scale in this context.
- To organize workshops, congresses, symposiums, panels, workshops, in-service training seminars and courses in cooperation with public, private sector and civil society organizations in line with the Center's objectives.f) To develop the cooperation network between institutions and the University by organizing institutional visits with stakeholders of the sector that will be the favorite of the future with the green development approach in order to better understand the importance of the subject.
- To ensure that the Center's activities are actively shared in national and local press and publication organizations in order to make the Center's activities sustainable.
- To apply for projects financed by national and international sources and to carry out joint projects with local actors.
- To organize joint activities with student groups that are active within the University within the Center and in line with the Center's objectives and to carry out awareness studies in which students are also involved.
- To contribute to the production of new knowledge with an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approach.
